Our best year yet! 64 degree temp, the rain held off until the afternoon, and over 1,000 runners and walkers. We gave away black texting gloves for Early Bird and no one needed them! In fact, sleeveless shirts and shorts was the favored apparel for the 5K. Our generous sponsors once again showed their spirit, allowing us to donate $30,000 to CHOP's Brain Tumor Research Program. We are, as always, and forever will be, thankful for those that join us on this amazing adventure. And the chance to make a difference in the research for a cure.
Wow! Wow! Wow! We had balmy temps and over 920 participants this year! The party started inside and the fast times continued outside. We gave away red knit caps for our Early Bird registrants and were they ever popular! Be sure to sign up Early Bird in 2017 for some snazzy texting gloves and another awesome long-sleeved tech race shirt. Our fantastic sponsors came out again in full force and we donated $25,000 to CHOP's Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Program. It was an amazing day!
We did it! Cupid's Cranium 5k / 1 mile nabbed the best four hours in an Arctic blast week, and had a race with 700 participants! The party atmosphere rang loud and clear in the warm gymnasium with fantastic food, hot coffee, six Chick-fil-A dancing cows, great music and lots of raffles. The race times were fast and lots of folks medaled for the first time in their age groupl Walkers cheered on the runners and started their own party at the finish line. Our generous sponsors allowed us to contribute $25,000 to CHOP's Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Program. It was the perfect way to start off Valentine's Day!
This has been a heck of a long, snowy winter, but we managed to sneak the Cupid's Cranium 5k / 1 mile in between two snowstorms. And on February 8th, 720 people were happy to get out! We had everything from elite runners to first-time 5k runners to the casual walker. In crazy costumes and lots of red, this group knows how to mix athleticism with fun. As a happy result, the Cupid's Cranium committee donated $20,000 to CHOP's Brain Tumor Research Program.

At Least Kids made its first donation to Children's Hospital Foundation in December 2007. This $500 donation will be directly applied to the Department of Neurosurgery for their pediatric tumor biobanking initiative. This ground-breaking effort will establish a process to collect and characterize pediatric tumor samples. These will be used for genomic profiling studies and to establish new methods of analyses and unprecedented data sharing. Gene profiling of tumors is critical to begin to diagnose specific cancer subtypes and match children with appropriate treatment regimens.- See more at: http://www.atleastkids.org/news#sthash.xIo1wPcP.dpuf
